Favourites to pop up on last day

Not a favourite placed at Cheltenham on Thursday!
Spare a thought for 2 punters yesterdat who seen massive sweats undone at the last hurdle.
Firstly the Whiterock punter who placed a £10 each-way quad and has the first (3) winners up at Cheltenham 20/1 9/2 and 5/1 only to see Opera Mundi beat it in the last!! He stood to win £38,000 and got nothing!
Shorts punter Joe Campbell did a £1 each-way treble and his first (2) won 20/1 ansd 12/1. He stood to win £12,500 if The Reverend had of won the last but if finished 10th.
To a £5 stake we are up £115.00 this week at Cheltenham after Butlers Cabin won at 33/1 for us - we were on at 40-1 and it clears the way to have a go at a few on Friday and we fancy a few favourites as well.

2.00 Lounaos (NAP) e/w Convincing 33/1
2.35 Wichita Lineman e/w Vinando 50/1
3.15 Kauto Star e/w Forget The Past 25/1
4.00 Whyso Mayo e/w First Down Jets 16/1
4.40 Carthalawn e/w Tysou 14/1
LAST FESTIVAL RACE 2007 Fair Along e/w Desert Quest 20/1

hopefully ONE will touch, but no matter what, it's been a blast.
We are here to 12.00 Friday so any tips, let us know and we will let our bloggers know
and then it's off to the Whitefort for a well-earned drink or 2 or 6

Punters on form

Well done to Marty Miller who got the placepot up at Cheltenham yesterday - £5 placer and it paid £2,300 odd quid, what a return over 11 big ONES! Also young K. Sloan was also in the money with a £2.50 bet 3 x 50p doubles and a £1 treble 10-1, 11-2 and 5-1 winners £517.00 Good STUFF!

Lets hope we can continue our winning ways after napping up Cork-All Star in the last - a welcome winner I can tell you!

2.45 Monets Garden e/w Too Forward
3.15 Black Jack Ketchum e/w United 25/1

Wednesday 14 March 2007

Hoping to improve on first day!

Bad day all round yesterday, but a few punters did log on and give out a few winners.
The first three races see's a potential hat-trick for favourite backers with the likes of
Aran Concerto, Well Chief and Denman all with massive chances.
We play it safe it the first three however and have went for an each-way treble bet which we feel could be better value
2.00 Catch Me 11/2
2.40 Cailin Alainn 6/1
3.15 Nickname 6/1

There has been a word for Gazza's Girl each-way in the Royal Sun Alliance at 28/1.

Mister Hight looks an interesting runner in the Coral cup and has been backed down from 14s to 8/1 in the last few days. Ruby takes the mount. Yardbird 25/1 can reward each-way punters in the KIM MUIR HANDICAP CHASE while we still like the look of Cork All-Star in the bumpert who looks a solid 6-1 shot.

Todays £25 winner was Del Boy who seen off Liam in yesterday's grudge challenge
and he has took Well Chief, Direct Flight and Ross River in a doubles and treble bet.
Market Movers will appear here soon.

Bad start for punters

Oh what a nightmare start for punters.
40/1 winner then a 16/1 winner in Champion Hurdle.
Richard Johnston gave Fair Along a terrible ride and paid the consequences while Detroit was a major disappointment
Let's hope for a change of luck!
